our trip

Hi!

We arrived last night from our trip to Warsaw and Silver Dollar City. We left Wednesdaymorning nstead of Tuesday night because we couldn't get a rental car in time. They said they would have a 8 seater SUV ready, but by the time Joey and Tina arrived to get the car there was no 8 seater. So after they drove around Kansas City and looked at all the cars they finally found one, and came back. We packed the car and left for Warsaw where Jim's parents live. They have a really nice house near a big pond/small lake. We went swimming before we had dessert and all went to bed. Oh! And Jim's mother makes the best pies ever! She made Cherry pie and Chocolat pie which were both very good. After swimming in the pond we went into the hottub which was, obviously, very hot.
The next morning I tried to get up at 6 o'clock to go for a swim with Joey and Jacob, but we couldn't get out of bed so we went at 8 o'clock. Before that we saw a wild turkey in the back yard and also 3 deers, a female and two males. That was so need to see! We made a lot of pictures that are pretty good.

That day we went to Silver Dollar City, which is a themepark with all kinds of things. But before that we went to laberts which is a restaurant. They'll trow the roles to you in stead of giving you a couple. A man will walk around with a cart with roles and trows 'em at everyone raising their hands. We had lunch and then went to the Park. Silver Dollar City had rollercoasters, crafts, shows and so on. We went on the wild water raft thing, when jake fell of the stairs and hurt his back so much that he couldn't breathe. I was so so so happy that I did the first aid training a couple of months ago so that I knew what to do. Jake couldn't do any of the rides that day because of his back. Eventually he felt a little bit better and did the Lost river thing (SPLASH!!)and we had a huge waterfight in a place especially set up for water fights. So by the time we left the park and came back to the car and drove to the hotel we were soaking wet.

That night I taught Joey some more Dutch. We started of in the car, he wants to learn it. He's pretty good in the pronunciation which is really hard for American people. (merrreell? no! it's MeRoL...huh?!) The English language doesn't have the -ui and -ei/-ij sounds the Dutch language has. We started off with the most common Verbs, and words to describe things. That night we did the inside of the house, like the Kitchen and all the things in it and went on to the dining room, bedroom, bathroom and so on. We did the human body (the oudside, so still need to do the inside) and still need to do the clothes, jewelry and watches.

The next morning Joey and I tried to get the clothes dry in one of the dryers at the hotel, they charged a dollar!!!
And then we went, again, to Silver Dollar City. This time Jacob could do the rides, and we did the shows and looked at people who did several crafts,. By the time we wanted to do some rides a storm was comming towards Silver Dollar City, so all the rides we shut down:(
And then it started raining so we left the Park..

We had a four hour drive back home, so we watched a movie in the car, and arrived home at 10.30am. Tonight is the dance and we need to get ready, clean the house, get rid of all the stuff like the drity wash and so on.

The weather is still good, and I love Missouri, I could live here if it was near to the beach, but I would miss the beach too much. I wished I could stay longer, but in 4 weeks I'll be home already! But I still miss everyone back home, but I don't miss the country or its weather!

love merel
