city of fountains

dear all,

We went to see Kansas City yesterday. This time we went to see the city in stead of going to the convention or shopping. First we went to the river something - market, which is more downtown. They sell all kinds of food over there, but mainly vegetables. So we bought some cherries and melon. On our way to the famous Central station we stopped by a sight alongside the missouri river. Noah was all about the train that went underneath the bridge we where standing on and the driver hunked the horn when we waved at him.

Central station is no longer used as a trainstation, there are shops inside and a pub and some other histrocal things. They had a Chocolate store in it with the best ever chocolat fudge. The girls had icecream while the boys and I had the Oreo Chocolat Fudge (my new love). Outside the Station was a huge fountain what the city is known by. They even call the city, kansas city, city of fountains, or fountain city. Anyway we saw a lot of fountains on our way. On the other side of the road is the Museum for World War 1, but we didn't got to see that. We went to a huge and expensive hotel, and walked through the mall that is attached to it. Outside near the Hallmark Office, was a fountain kids could play in. Noah didn't dare to go in at first, but after Jacob run through it he couldn't get enough of it, and was all over the place wearing nothing else than his diapers.

And then it was time for plaza, which is a real need outside shoppingmall. We went to Barns&Nobles which is a wellknown bookstore, and wandered around for a bit, before we sat down in a Mexican Restaurant to have dinner.

After dinner Jim went home while we drove our way to Olathe, to Tina's mother. We spend the night and had breakfast with all of us and one of Tina's younger sisters Tracey. She was really nice. And so where Tina's parents. After breakfast Jacob, who had a fever and didn't feel well, and Keera stayed with their grandparents, while Tina, Joey, Kelsey, Noah and I went shoeshopping. Bought shoes for me, suit and shirts for joey, dress and skirts for tina andddd that was about it I think. After that we went back to Tina's mom, and watched the incredibles.

Tomorrow we'll go out in service and leave for Warshaw after the bookstudy. Hopefully jake will feel better by tomorrow.. Jim's parents live in Warshaw which is a two hour drive from here, we'll go and do stuff in the area, and wait for jim who'll try to come over wednesday afternoon. So that we can go to Silver Dollar City (theme park)thursday and friday.

I'll post some pictures and then go to bed, it's 11.56 already!
love merel
