dance and sickness

hya,

Saturdaynight was the formal so everyone took a shower, curled their hair, got all dresses up and went to the party. It was in a small cafeteria normally used by the veterans. A couple of sisters had decorated the place and it looked very nice. There was a place to pose so that everybody could take a picture with their company/family. We stood there for hours, once you let someone take your picture more and more people come with their camera and start taking pictures..
The girls, Megan and Caithlin had done their hair. Megain actually went to the hairdresser, and Caithlin did it herself. It looked really good! Jill, an almost blind sister, went to the hairdresser as well, she looked wonderful.
I was kind of afraid my dress would fall apart, it has straps connected to the dress with a little hook. But the thing the hook hooks in wasn't that strong,..but I survived. Next time that I'm wearing my dress, if there is a next time, I need to make 'em stronger so that I won't be suprised by a dress that is falling down..
After taking pictures we had dinner, brothers and sister brought italian food and there was more than enough to feed everyone. After dinner there was the opportunity to do some karaoke. Some had a really good voice! Two sisters in particular, the oldest sang the main part and the youngest did the second voice. They sang on their own too, and both with a really good voice. And of course others couldn't sing at all but still tried, which was really funny.
Everybody liked my dress : 'killer dress'. Although it's a dress hard to dance in because it has a train and is long to the ground. So eventually I took of my heels and hold my dress up when dancing.
Tina and I tried the Chachacha, but since I only know the basics and she never danced it, it was kind of hard to do so we stopped. After that Tina danced with joey, en jim en jake, and after a while I danced with them too. Jake really didn't want to dance but we dragged him to the dancefloor. We were turning in cirkels, so I told him he had to lead, I wasn't the one to lead..so he started to move around on the dancefloor, almost bumping into everyone which was really funny. After that they played more common and up tempo music so that we could dance on our own. So we danced, and danced and danced, with the girls and joey. And all of a sudden the party was over, at ten o'clock! Probably because they couldn't rent the place longer....so we cleaned up the place, all the food, tables, chairs and decoration.
At home tina and joey took some pictures of me and the girls (we had no time to do that before we left) and everyone but me joey en tina went to bed. Joey wanted to copy all of my music, and when we finally went up to bed tina was sleeping in her chair so that's where we left her.

Sunday morning was the meeting and also my last meeting with the Richmond congregation, so we exchanged emailaddresses and took pictures and hugged each other goodbye. One sister said: come back! single! .. eeuuhmm..???

after the meeting we would do the work Jim had planned and then go out bowling with Caithlin, Megan, Bunny, the Tabers and me. On our way Bunny ran out of gas..so then Jim and the fam came back and after she got gas we tried to get to the bowling center. So we finally got there and then Tina called. Jacob got sick and vomitted in the car a couple of times. So we had to go back and clean out the car. We didn't want to go out bowling without them, so we decided to hire a movie instead. We watched the Mummy and laughed hard when Kelsey was so scared that she cried out by a sudden image of the mummy.

This morning nobody was up yet and it was 8.30pm already which is unusual in the Tabers house. Tina told me Joey got sick too..Jacob had a fever which seems so be settled down, and now Joey's got it.
I'm leaving tomorrow so I hope I still get to see something of them, I feel so bad for them, they've been sick a couple of times before I came and never got reallyreally well.

My flight departs at 6.45pm so we have to get up really early...and then it's goodbye missouri!

love merel
