Hya,
Yesterday Birdie and me went to see a bit of the area. We went to a part of the bay where we saw a man throwing out his crabtraps and pelicans that were following him, went back to the car through the woods (a pity we didn't get to see any alligators or snakes though), went to fairhope which is a really cute village. Most of the villages and little town down here have got no shops anymore because all the Mall were build outside and the little shops couldn't manage anymore. But fairhope still has got shops, mostly antiques and art-shops. And the whole town is shiny and colourful, with flowers everywhere. (see pictures below) We also went to the Mall and I met Birdie's daughter in law (married to David) where I bought a new simcard so that I can call in the USA as well when needed. Birdie bought some shoes and after that we went home and I made them my Italian pastadish. Tina called me (which was need!!) and I have booked my flight to kansas city this morning. But I have got some problems with the site, so I hope everything will work out fine before I'm off to Missouri.

We went out in the service today (out to from door to door, to speak with people about the kingdom the bible's telling about) with sister lucky, a brother who's name I can't think of but very nice though and centreal, which is the pioneer (a person who's making 70 hours service a month) I was telling you about earlier. We had a really good time, and had lots of laughs. The brother was constantly asking me things about the Netherlands: the food, language, weather and so on. He even tried to pronounce my name the Dutch way, in which he constantly failed, and then Centreal said it at once, his comment: 'she's just lucky, she won't be able to do it again!'
We did some calls (visit people who have shown interest earlier) and some not at homes (people who were not at home when we came to talk to them about the bible)
We started at 9.30am and stopped at 16.20pm. So we did quite a lot, and I'm really tired right now.
Sister Lucky's a person you can learn a lot from. She's just so good with people she meets out in the service. The way she uses the bible and reasons with people. We went to a call of hers and she asked the woman if she had ever thought if there are whether more demons or people on the earth. My first reaction was: ''well I guess there are more people'' But then she got me to read Matthew 8: 28-34, which is telling about the two men, possessed by demons. Jesus expels them, and they ask them if they can go into the swines. So they come out and go off into the swines and the entire herd rushes into the sea. The same can be found in Luke, and in that part one of the possessed men tells Jesus his name is legion, because many demons had got into him. And then she told me The biblebook Daniel says Jehovah created an uncountable number of Angels. Just as many as the sand in the sea. Well you can't count the sand in the sea can you? And the bible says too that Satan the devil took a third of the Angels Jehovah God had created. There are something like 6 billion people living on the earth, a number which is countable. So there must be more Demons than people on the earth. No wonder that the world today is like it is!
And I was constantly her 'bite' as she called me, telling people I was from the Netherlands and that we've got the same problems as they do. And that we had just met but that she already loved me as her own because we had at least one thing in common: love for Jehovah God and his son Jesus Christ.
I might go to the movies sundaynight, with Centreal and the brother who went out in the service with us today, They probably invite more people to go with us:) So that'll be fun!
And we had our bookstudy tonight (one of our meetings, right now we're studying (worldwide) a book that explains what the last biblebook Revelation speaks about. Talked with Lesley. She's married to Alan, who's mother is from Chili. Lesley's originally from chili too and she's still homesick sometimes. But she's really nice, she might go to the movies too, as well as Alan.
I'm going to bed in a few minutes, am really tired. I'll put some more pictures on my blog of the kingdomhall and the livingroom of the Falks recidence.
And although I'm getting better I still miss you all so much!!!
love merel
