Pensacola, FL

Hya,

We had to go to a funeral at noon yesterday..Sister Wilsons husband died last tuesdaynight. There were about 15 people who attended the memorial and accompanied the family to the sematary. Brian Broughton had the talk at the Memorial, I think he was pretty nervous, but it's a hard task to accomplish. Afterwards we song song no. 15, about the resurrection and how everybody will live in peace in paradise.
Although sister Wilson didn't know me I wanted to be there, after all she's my sister. She was happy I came.

After the funeral we changed clothes and got our stuff ready to go to the beach in Pensacola which is an hour drive from here in the state Florida. You'll see some pictures of the road, the bridge and the views out from the car while we were driving on the bridge..they're not really sharp but give you an impression of what its like..
The beach was great, so white! And the water so clear and blue(exept for our first spot, because of seeweeds) We saw fish and crabs and found lots of shells. And because we went in the afternoon it wasn't as hot as it was earlier that day.

Lauren and I went to the pier which was some hundred feet from our spot and birdie went back to our spot. When we came back where out spot was.. all our stuff was gone! So we went back and fort on the beach, looking for her..We couldn't find her, but there was this guy, I think in his late thirdthies who came to me: You look familiar! (yeah right) I'm an architect from New Orleans and I thought you were one of the younger architects'' He started a whole lifestory without ending.. when he heard I was from the Netherlands he told me he had spent 6 months in Europe, and also some time in Amsterdam. Anyway, when he finally runned out of words I asked him whether he had seen Birdie (describing what she looks like) but he hadn't seen her and run off ;-) Eventually we found Birdie, she went back to the car and had taken our stuff with her. So we weren't clompletely lost and stuck forever.(Lauren's idea) Lauren and I went back to the beach to get the shells we found and had left there.

I'll show you the pictures, I keep repeating, it's a shame I can't share it for real but only with pictures! The pictures are good but don't show you how it really it:)

lots of love, merel
