convention 27th-29th july

It was great! I enjoyed it from fridaymorning through Sunday afternoon. The talks, demo's, interviews, the drama..it was education of high standard, once again. Eventhough it was the second time I heard it.
I went to the english convention as well, saturdaymorning with merel and bas. It's funny to hear all the difference accents, American, African, Dutch, English and even Scottish. This because the english field in the netherlands exists out of people from all nations. But they're all doing their utmost best:)

We went out for dinner with friends on sundaynight. I've made pictures of that too.
So here you go!

I came home yesterday, Merel's dad works at the Aiport and was wainting for me at the gate. So we walked to the lugaggeclaim together and after that to my family. Merel had come too, and so did her mom and brother Niek. My mom and dad had bought me ballons that said welcome home and a bog smiley. And my brother has grown so much in those ten weeks of my absence. He's even taller then he already was. He was about 6 feet 2 but now probably is about 6 feet 7 or 8. My head is under his chin! Just a some more centimeters (about twenty) and he's as tall as my dad is.

I came home yesterday, and went to bed after 33 hours of being awake.. I had slept one hour in the plane but couldn't sleep any more. So by the time i went to bed Iw as almost fainting. My parents had invited some friends to come over. It was so great to see 'em again..They even brought me gifts! And seeing again made me realise how much I had missed them but also how much I miss my new friends, my brothers and sisters in the States already! I still have a jetlag, my stomach doesn't know when it's time to eat, sometimes I feel like there is no time at all! And I'm constantly cold..while it's about 22 degrees. My dad and mom are wlking in summerclothes, shorts and tops, while I'm wering long pants, a top with long sleeves and even a shawl..so I don't only have to get used to the timedifference but aso the the climate. They light's much different too by the way..have to get used to everything!!!!!!I guess rachel was right.. she said that you get a culture shock when you arrive in the forgein country, but by the time you come back in your home country you'll have one too!!! I've made some pictures of the friends that came and visited, to show them to you:)
The first pictures are made when we were flying under Iceland, when the sun came up. It was so pretty:)
